Had a raucously good time a couple weekends back at the Henry Gala, pretty sure the pix reflect that.#seattle #arts #letitgotoyourhead
Relive the glory days of last weekend with me, will ya? Here’s a handful of selects from last weekend’s patriotic photo booth at Cal Anderson Park’s Fourth of July party. There were hot dogs, ice cream, dancing babies, and enough miniature American flags to convert even the most hardened enemies of freedom. Thanks to everyone who shared a few minutes under the diffusion panel with me!
This year’s World Aeropress Championship saw competitors from 33 countries come to Seattle to show their manual pressing chops. Tons of characters here, congrats to Lukas (top right), Nick (he’s the one in the ‘Nick’ shirt), and Kaye (last row, center) for taking the top three.
Got the chance last week to shoot the World Aeropress Championships, which were held for the first time ever in America’s coffee mug, Seattle! For those wondering, yes, people make coffee competitively, and nobody makes a more competitive cuppa than Lukas Zahradnik, this year’s champion from Slovakia. Big ups to everyone who came out to compete, this year’s sponsors, and the World Aeropress Championships for having me, can’t wait for 2016!
Check out http://worldaeropresschampionship.com for more info and some outstanding(ly complex) Aeropress recipes!

Keeping the Pride train rolling. Thank you again to Eric Bennett and Adam McRoberts of Seattle Pride and Nate Gowdy.
In case y’all didn’t hear, last weekend was Seattle’s legendary annual Pride Celebration and Parade. I was lucky enough to be on the ground for the party along with Mr-Sulu-turned-Facebook-Juggernaut George Takei and Macklemore. More to come.
Special thanks to Eric Bennett and Adam McRoberts of Seattle Pride for granting me such stellar access and to my buddy Nate Gowdy for hooking it up!
